It’s 2022 and the relationship between football and Bitcoin is growing from strength to strength. This is a landmark achievement as this partnership further buttresses the significant impact that Bitcoin will have across various geography; finance and football.
A few months down the line, I will be leading my team to announce another milestone achievement by signing one of Africa’s brightest footballers as our brand ambassador. Kelechi Iheanacho, popularly known as the SENIORMAN, is a super Eagles player who currently plays for Leicester City FC in England.
In selecting Kelechi as our brand ambassador, we had a wide array of players across various African countries to choose from but opted for Kelechi because of his story of rising from the slums to becoming one of Africa’s superstars. Also, Kelechi's story of rising above adversities and challenges is a notable story that aligns with the brand story of being fearless and constantly pushing for freedom.
Over the course of the agreement, Kelechi and Bitnob will create a series of campaigns around buying and selling Bitcoin, International remittance, Virtual cards and loans backed by Bitcoin.
This announcement further strengthens our commitment to building and supporting grassroots football in Nigeria.
Crypto companies have been relying on sports partnerships in a bid to go mainstream.
